Marji Messer has been a professional dancer, singer, choreographer and music producer for most of her life. Her dancers have opened for such name acts as Sammy Davis Jr, Cher, and she has appeared with the United States Air Force Band in concert.
While living in Europe and Texas, Marji has taught over one hundred fifty individuals the "tricks of the trade" in the Performing Arts Workshop for Adults which she created in Europe. This workshop addresses specific challenges such as choosing material, successful auditioning and overcoming stage fright. She has also taught the Bel Canto method of voice training, and the Bob Fosse style of Jazz dance.
Her jazz trio "Deco" appeared at Jazz festivals in the Netherlands, and France as well as at the Princess of Liechtenstein's home in Luxembourg. For eighteen years, she was accompanied by Dr. William F. Lee, III, who is a Grammy and Pulitzer nominated composer and author. Marji and Bill headed up a campaign to raise money for a non-smoking Jazz club on the world famous Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
Currently living in New Mexico, Marji's company, "Josephine’s Parlour" is expanding into video production, and is currenly in pre-production on the pilot episode of "Marji's Menajerie".
